What to do in a movie extra audition?

I was thinking about auditioning for an extra role for The Avengers movie. I was just wondering what you do while your actually auditioning. I know there's going to be a few thousand people there, so I wasn't sure if they'd have you read from a script or what. Thanks!

To be an extra you don't read a script at all. They pick random people. They may have a certain "look" that they want in the movie.

Extras aren't auditioned because extra work isn't acting. Extras are chosen via extras agencies, usually based on looks.
