I would love to take my son to see this show, but I would like to know from someone who has seen it if you think a 2 year old would sit through it.

Will your 2 year old sit still for a 2 hour movie of The Lion King? Can he be quiet? This is am amazing show - i was awe struck. But had there been a cranky kid close by, then i would not have enjoyed it so much. There is a lot the is going to be hard to understand for a 2 yo. I say, wait till they are 5 and hope it comes around again.

A more practical answer: have you called the theatre to see if they ALLOW 2 year olds in? Many theatres have a policy of not admitting any children under 6, simply because the odds on their disturbing the rest of the audience is much higher. (I know: your son, like mine, is good and will sit still and all that, but there are the ones who talk throughout and yell "I HAVETA GO TO THE BATHROOOM!" in the middle...) Considering the cost of tickets, theatres will side with older patrons over younger ones.

SO: a quick phone call to the box office may answer your question real fast.

Well, the experience would be quite frightening for a 2 year old I think and there is the issue that he probably will get tired and agitated. However I really do think that YOU should see it. I've heard its a wonderful show I only wish it was playing near to me in England hehehe. Theatre experiences are too good to miss :)

When I saw the show in Boston, there were many children there. I would think that unless your child can sit for at least an hour (before intermission) that you should not take him. It's visually different from the movie and he might not like it as well.

I think you should wait for a few yaers when it comes back to town because even if he can sit still a two year old would not remember something like that and I think if you are going to spend your money on a great play like that you might want him to remember it.

Good Luck
