realistic all-female plays?

for my drama piece, we have to perform plays in a group of 2 to 8 people. the problem is, we want to do a play in a really realistic, Stanislavsky style. the big problem is, in our drama group there are only 2 guys. any suggestions of interesting plays that we could cut to 20 mins, that are all female or have only one man?

Well, The Women, but not too sure. Mornings at Seven - I think two men? But they are all character roles. And then there is always Uncommon Women... and Others with 9 women and a narrator (usually a man)

Come back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean.

This is a brilliant female ensemble piece with 6 women and one man. If you are doing scene work, you can do scenes without the man.

This play was made into a movie way back in 1982 with Kathy Bates, Cher, Sandy Dennis, Karen Black and Sudie Bond.

I can't imagine any full length play that can be cut to 20 minutes without it becoming a farce. You could do scene work from this play, though.

Maybe something like little women?? As far as I know that has very little male roles, mainly Laurie and the Professer at the end. You could then use the main scenes to cut the play down with, or just do a couple of scenes.

I have a brilliant play for you with 4 female characters: My Mother Said I Never Should by Charlotte Keatley. It is about 4 generations of the same family and how they deal with deceit, jealousy, anger and change. Its quite a hard-hitting play though... hard to understand also, but very well written.
