I saw an opera/musical 2001/2002 and i can't remember the name of it. The only thing i can remember is that it begins with P and might have been shown on channel 4 or ITV 1. I know it's not much to go with but i'm really desperate to find out the name.

I think you're talking about The Producers. It's a musical from 2001 and it's a TV show.

The only recent musical I can think of beinging with P is Parade by Jason Robert Brown - about the Trial and Lynching of Leo Frank accused of the murder of a young girl working in his factory in Atlanta, Georgia.
