so every actor in LA wants an agent and they are really hard to get. SAG. org lists legit agents. good agents are ones that get you lots of auditions. you have to go to each ones website and find out how to submit for representation and do that which it tells you to do. You will need an outstanding head shot and resume and a good cover letter. .

first you need training and experience and to know how to audition very well. most any agent

on SAG'S list will be ok. every agent in LA gets their audition info. from the same place, which

is the breakdown services. and one is not necessarily going to know something the others don't.

ideally you want to find an agent that doesn't have a giant client list or a lot of actors that fit your

character. there is enough competition out there as it is. if an agent has a lot of clients that look like you, you will have competition just to get out. agents only make money if you work, so they send out the ones that are making them money, you don't want to get lost in the shuffle. you don't sign

long contracts with agents or anyone else. you can change agents if you aren't happy, its done all the time. if you like your agent and their doing their job, you can always renew your contract.
