I am writing a script for a msucial about Marie Antoinette. I know nothing about play/music writing; I can't read music or anything. I have extensive experience in theater and musical theater (school, community, and professional.) Is my head up in the clouds or could I make this work?

Colaborate! See if you can find a partner who can either write down the melodies you sing and harmonize them and/or can come up with melodies when you can't think of any.

The first essential is going to be research. Read what you can about Marie Antoinette and anything that's been produced on her. She is actually featured in a Nancy Drew PC game called "Treasure in the Royal Tower," as one possibility. If you don't know much about writing music, you can take older songs and change the lyrics as a sort of parody, if you are doing a light-hearted sort of musical. If you are doing a more serious kind of musical, maybe check out "Evita" to see how a historic character would sing about serious themes. Get some copies of scripts to see how to write in this format. Try this website for some examples as well - www.pioneerdrama.com

Take a look at the script site below - start by getting some simple scripts published there before attempting something that's very difficult

Yes you can, but you need to learn how to convert your notes into a proper script.

Good Luck....

do some research. ask advise from your teachers. but most importantly believe in yourself. you won't succeed unless you believe in yourself.
