How long would it take a talent agency to respond back to you after you have auditioned?

I went and auditioned for a Talent agency two days ago and I still have not gotten a response from them. It was an open call audition and they saw a lot of actors. Are they supposed to tell you on the spot if they want to represent you, or does it take time for them to respond ? If so, about how long would it take?
Also, some of the other actors received sides( scripts ) after they auditioned and they were given some time to look over the sides and called back into the auditioning room for a callback as they called it. I DID NOT RECEIVE A SIDE, Im not sure what that could mean. Do I suck? Did they hate me? They were very nice through out the whole audition. Should I contact them and ask them what the deal is? Or should I just wait?? Or better yet, should I just move on and try a different agency??

A good agency would accept only one or two of the very best who auditioned.

They would expect those people to have already had several years of training at a good acting school, loads of experience and other skills such as singing, dancing, foreign languages spoken, etc.

If any of the others who auditioned had a better resume than you, and auditioned better, they will have been accepted, not you.

The ones who were given sides and called back were the ones they liked the best.

It can take years to get signed by a good agency - they're very picky and take only the best.

If you don't hear within a few days, you won't. They don't contact you to say 'no'.

And don't even think of contacting them! They won't appreciate it.

Keep adding to your resume with more and more training and experience, and apply to more agencies.

Good luck!

If you don't get a callback then your out. Callbacks are the step that comes after auditions. Some companies will take time to decide who gets a callback, but obviously the one you auditioned for has already decided. Sorry :( If an agency decides that they don't want you they WILL NOT CALL YOU or acknowledge the fact that they went with someone else. I would just move on to the next agency.

do no longer touch them in any respect - that's unprofessional. whilst they have your application, that's all you're able to do. they are going to look at your application whilst they have a emptiness - which would be now, or it ought to be next month or in six months. and that they are going to additionally look in any respect the different 1000's of different purposes they are going to have won contained in the previous few months. whilst they have thrown out all the for sure susceptible ones, they are going to evaluate something and choose people who've had the main reliable training, the main experience and whose 'look' suits in properly with their shopper checklist, and that they are going to invite some in for audition. all of those they do no longer decide on will in simple terms get shredded - they do no longer write to you to declare 'no'. If this employer is fascinated, they are going to touch you. in simple terms keep in mind, many actors take years to locate an agent keen to settle for them.
