Which Broadway Musical should I go see?

My family is traveling to New York City this summer and we are going to see at least three musicals, so my question is which three should we see and why?

Well, my family and I travelled to New York last year from Australia and had the same problem that you're having - which broadway musicals we should see.



So, firstly we got advice from the man sitting next to us on the plane and he said that wicked was brilliant.

And we agree!

Wicked was absolutely amazing and I could have watched it for hours. Everything about the musical was brilliant. It was sad, it was happy, it's got everything you need.

So, without any hesitation - go see wicked!



Secondly, we decided to see Jersey Boys which was AWESOME! I'd never heard of the musical before, but it was fantastic! Its great to see something you've never heard of before. Everybody in this musical were so talented with amazing voices. This is a MUST SEE!



Thirdly, I would definitely suggest either seeing Legally Blonde: The Musical or Mamma Mia. These two musicals were spectacular! Funny and.....amazing! Fantastic performers, fantastic songs, fantastic choreographers...I couldn't help but dance out of the theatre!



Other great musicals that we loved include: Hairspray, Lion King and Mary Poppins - these were all amazing!



But altogether, you MUST SEE:

1. WICKED.

2. JERSEY BOYS.

3. LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL.

4. MAMMA MIA.

Wicked is one of those MUST SEE shows. See it or you will regret it! In the Heights was amazing! It wont the Tony for best musical last year. Mary Poppins had an amazing set, and the kids were amazing! Although I haven't seen it, The Lion King is supposed to be absolutely amazing! Phantom is simply a classic, but look at the story ahead of time, because many people get confused! Little Mermaid is supposed to be wonderful as well. Shrek is supposed to be a laugh-out-loud comedy. If you are looking at fun places to eat, check out Ellen's Stardust Diner (the waiters and waitresses sing, and they are all aspiring broadway actors and actresses, but it can get a bit crowded). Planet Hollywood is a lot of fun, and so is ESPN zone. If you have little kids, you can't beat Mars 2112! There are other fun places to go, as well!

My mom and i went to NYC last summer and saw 8 b'way shows in a week:) i absolutely love broadway! here are my suggestions:



1. WICKED! its my 2nd fav show of all time (after RENT, which is unfortunately closed now). If u have seen wizard of oz, you will get much more out of it... but it has great effects, catchy music and amazing voices! phenomenal show!



2. IN THE HEIGHTS - really a great show! another one of my favorites...

great story!



3. PHANTOM - also an amazing show... with spectacular effects



I would also recommend WEST SIDE STORY:)

West Side Story- It's just amazing, and now they've added new things to this revival like speaking in Spanish more.

The Phantom of the Opera- If you haven't seen it yet, you have to. It's just a classic.

Guys and Dolls- The music is totally awesome. I love this show.

I suggest Wicked should be one of those must see shows. Ohers can be : Mary Poppins, Lion King or Phantom
