I'm planning on trying out for the role of Beth in an upcoming professional production of "Little Women". I'm very fammiliar with the story-it's one of my favorite books- but I've never seen the play. Has any one seen it, or better yet, been in it? I'd love it if you told be about. I'd like some more info.

Thanks!

There are two musical versions of Little Women that I'm aware of, as well as an opera. The only one that I have seen is the one that most recently on Broadway with Sutton Foster and Maureen McGovern. Music by Jason Howland.

It is similar to the book, but there are some big differences. The biggest being that Amy and Laurie don't get married until they come back to Concord.

I saw the national tour of this show and I absolutely loved it! I also love the book, and the differences didn't bother me. The spirit of the book was there. It's a beautiful show.

It is the same story line, there are a few great songs, one of which is a duet between Beth and Jo. You can get some information from the source below. You can even hear som audio clips.
